The following infolaw data resources and tools will at this stage be made available for purposes of the FreeLegalWeb project only.
Once the project is under way and the FreeLegalWeb is a legal entity, it is intended they will be licensed to FreeLegalWeb under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 2.0 UK: England & Wales licence

Lawfinder
Lawfinder is a metadata catalogue of over 100,000 UK legal documents and resources. Register for full access.
Lawfinder data is held in a single MySQL data table providing fields representing standard Dublin Core elements and some additional terms, with bibliographicCitation represented by the fields Series, Year and Number.
The data Types can broadly be grouped as follows:
- Law sources - individual law documents such as Acts, SIs, Cases and other official documents such as Bills, Law Commission Reports etc
- Law resources - significant sites and sub-sites covering specific legal topics
- Law-related organisations - including public bodies, significant non-profits, professional associations, law firms, barristers chambers, local authorities and more
Lawfinder provides a browse and search interfaces to the data and also generates RSS feeds. There are also web forms for managing the data. All interface pages are asp including PerlScript.
Lawfinder data is gathered and maintained by a combination of scraping web index pages, manual intervention and ad hoc manual updates.
Legislation
Includes OPSI legislation (original) from 1988 and SLD primary legislation from 1800.
Cases
Includes BAILII cases for Privy Council, House of Lords and the High Courts of the three jurisdictions.
